In 1969 the financial district was accented by the Transamerica Pyramid and Bank of America Towers, which persist today as landmarks to the city's status as a financial hub. By 2020 the Transbay Redevelopment Neighborhood will dramatically transform the San Francisco skyline, symbolizing wealth in technology, innovation and sustainability. Parcel F marks the arrival to the city from the South and East, similar to the Transamerica Pyramid's relationship to Columbus Avenue, an iconic landmark from the north.
